Would you like to learn more about porcelain and its production process, and create you your own design? Then sign up now for the 9-week course. The course is all about realizing your design from start to finish. In the production process, there is plenty of room for your own creativity. By the end, you'll have your very own mould and a set of 6 to 10 items crafted from your design. Incl. materials, oven heating, coffee, tea & snacks
Teacher: Arjen Roos (Milou Broersen will be there the first lesson for design advice)
Experience with ceramics is not required.

During each lesson:
1. Introduction to slip casting and begin developing your design.
2. Craft your model using plaster
3. Refining the plaster model
4. Create a mould from your plaster model
5. Finishing your plaster mould and choose the colours for your design.
6. Start slip casting with porcelain
7. Continue slip casting and preparing for bisque firing (900c)
8. Apply the glaze and prepare your items for the final high temperature firing (1250c)
9. Polishing and reviewing your finished pieces.

Before the first lesson, please sketch your ideas and gather any inspiration images to help shape your design. In the first session, we’ll focus on developing the basic form of your piece, keeping it within approximately 15 × 15 × 15 cm. Details such as texture, colour, and glaze can be refined later. Technical considerations may influence the final design, but

Cancellation is free up to 1 month in advance. For cancellations within one month, 50% will be charged. No refund will be given for cancellations made within 1 week of the course start date.
